Quenching: The steel pipe is heated above the critical temperature and then rapidly cooled to form a hard and brittle martensitic structure, which improves the strength and hardness of the steel pipe.

There are mainly five types of heat treatment processes:

Quenching: The steel pipe is heated above the critical temperature and then rapidly cooled to form a hard and brittle martensitic structure, which improves the strength and hardness of the steel pipe.

Tempering: The quenched steel pipe is reheated to an appropriate temperature and then slowly cooled to relieve internal stresses, adjust hardness, and improve plasticity and toughness.

Normalizing: The steel pipe is heated above the normalizing temperature to fully transform its internal structure into austenite, followed by cooling in air. This process helps eliminate internal stresses and improves hardness and machinability.

Annealing: The steel pipe is heated to the annealing temperature, soaked for a period of time, and then slowly cooled to reduce hardness, improve plasticity, facilitate further processing, and simultaneously relieve stresses and refine the structure.

Solution Treatment: The steel pipe is heated to the solution temperature to fully dissolve carbides and alloying elements into the austenite matrix, then rapidly cooled (quenched) to retain a supersaturated solid solution. This eliminates work hardening and restores corrosion resistance.
